Peer-Review-Process

For manuscripts reporting primary research or secondary analysis of primary research and reviews this journal follows a single anonymised review process. Your submission will initially be assessed by our editors to determine suitability for publication in this journal. There may be exceptional circumstances, particularly in niche and emerging fields, where it may not be possible to obtain two independent peer reviewers. In such cases, Editor(s) may wish to make a decision to publish based on one peer review report in consultation with the handling editor. Editor(s) are expected to only make a decision based on one report if the peer review report meets the standards set out below.

Commentaries and Letters to the Editor will require at least one peer review report by an expert in the field, which may include an Editor with expertise in the field, a member of the editorial board, or other expert reviewer. Editorials will not be peer reviewed. The decision as to whether your article is accepted or rejected will be taken by our editors.
